The Awakening by Kate Chopin!

Currently being read, annotated, and analyzed by me, Alana Chargualaf.
From this book, I expect to gain the knowledge of different cultures and interactions  between people back in the late 1800s. I believe I will become well enlightened on Kate Chopin's style, and recognize a truer and deeper appreciation for literature itself. Because Mrs. Griffin seems fond of Kate Chopin's works, I know it will be a really wonderous story with much to learn from and enjoy! One thing for sure is that, The Awakening is the first book I've chosen that stretches far from my personal literary genre. Therefore, this will be one interesting journey.

  1. Alana, you don't need to annotate this work. Four responses, two prose analyses and the essay are enough work already. I suggest students highlight/underline important passages. These come in handy when tackling the above mentioned assignments. It's a short great read! Enjoy!

  4. Well, just by seeing the title and the woman on the cover, I automatically thought that, yes, there is some kind of awakening that will be discovered in the passages of this book delivering an important message that we can all use in life. Not only one message but possibly more, and how that message can relate to different people. In other words, how a range of diverse individuals can gain from the idea and become enlightened and AWAKENED. Thank you for the question Josh!
